How we decide what's "common"
A word is listed as common when it's used often in everyday English. We leave plurals and -s forms out of the common lists because they're rarely Wordle answers, but they still appear in the full lists, marked "plural".
Offensive words
Slurs and offensive words never appear in our common lists, examples or definitions. Some are still valid in Scrabble, so they're counted in totals but not displayed.
